Scholarship Info

The Aiken Singers established the Diane Haslam Vocal Performance Scholarship Program in December, 2010. The program consists of two separate scholarships; one intended to support vocal studies at the collegiate level and the second to assist high school students who wish to attend a summer music camp.

Diane Haslam Vocal Performance Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to benefit high school seniors who are committed to the study of vocal performance at the college level. The scholarship is awarded annually based on academic excellence, community involvement, and a competitive audition.

Please Note: Despite the limitations imposed by the Covid-19 virus, the Aiken Singers’ Board has authorized a scholarship award for 2021. We will be accepting video recordings in place of the live competitive audition. Full details will be sent to applicants when your scholarship application is received.

The Aiken Singers Summer Music Camp Scholarships

These scholarships are intended to give financial help to high school students in grades 9 through 12 wishing to attend summer music programs specializing in either solo singing, chorus training or theater singing.

Due to the complications raised by the Covid-19 virus, the Aiken Singers’ Board has decided not to offer scholarships to any summer music camps during 2021. We will re-evaluate next year and hope to resume with these scholarships as conditions warrant.
