Aiken Singers is a non-auditioned community adult choir, based in Aiken, South Carolina. We provide an opportunity for enthusiastic amateur singers in surrounding areas to come together and ‘share the joy of singing’ both with each other and with the local community. Our primary mission is to take our music into retirement communities to bring joyful musical experiences to our seniors, and we perform at least four outreach performances per season. We also present two major public performances per year, in the Holiday (Winter) season and in Spring.
Our Director choses a broad range of songs of all styles: from the lighter side of music, with golden oldies and familiar popular songs some jazz standards, gospel favorites, patriotic numbers, and musical theater pieces. Singing in a choir is not only good physically and emotionally, but also for the community by bringing people together. And it’s a chance to have a lot of fun while learning beautiful music!
